Naturopathic medicine is a practice of medicine that combines the wisdom of nature with the rigors of modern science. It emphasizes six main principles; prevention, identifying and treating the root cause of illness, harnessing the healing power of nature, treating the whole person rather than a collection of symptoms, providing education about health, and doing no harm.
Licensed naturopathic doctors attend accredited rigorous post-graduate medical schools and train as evidence-based primary care providers to effectively diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses. We complete outpatient clinic shifts in both academic and community medical centers and take two sets of board exams to prove competency, efficacy, and safety in the areas of pathology, microbiology, anatomy, physiology, immunology, botanical medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, minor surgery, pharmacology, physical manipulation, homeopathy, counseling, intravenous and injection therapies, and nutrition.

1. A thoughtful and whole-person approach
You are a whole person and you deserve a provider who will listen to your whole story. I aim to ask thoughtful questions and understand you as a whole person, not just a collection of symptoms.
2. Open, honest, and clear communication
You can expect honesty and clarity- whether this be about your labs, diagnoses, refills, or if your cat is cute (she is!).
3. Realistic and grounded recommendations in pursuit of YOUR goals
I won’t recommend to you anything I wouldn’t do or haven’t already tried. I also don’t subscribe to the idea of perfection as the pinnacle of health, instead I seek to hold your goals and views as the guide.
4. Easy to access care in the times that you need it
The body doesn’t often respect typical working hours and getting an appointment with your provider shouldn’t be hard. Once established as a patient, I am available to you nights and weekends for visits and questions.
5. A “dad” joke or two
I LOVE a good joke. I wholeheartedly believe that play, laughter, adventure, and the great outdoors are some of the best medicines.

My practice is cash-based and I do not take insurance.
Some insurances allow for out-of-network visits with naturopathic doctors and a superbill can be provided to you. You should check with your insurance provider regarding your coverage.

Naturopathic licensure can be confusing.
If you live in the state of Arizona, I can see you for a specific health concern or as a Primary Care Physician.
If you live in the state of Vermont or in Washington, DC, I can see you for a specific health concern however, you must maintain a relationship with a Primary Care Physician.
If you live in Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, or Wyoming, I can provide health coaching ONLY and you must maintain a relationship with a Primary Care Provider in your state.
If any of those statements apply to you, and you are between the ages of 6 years old and 116 years old, I’d love to help you.

Health coaching is a general term for the process of educating and facilitating healthy behavioral, nutritional, and lifestyle changes to help individuals reach their personal goals. It is not a substitute for professional medical care and does not diagnose, examine, treat, manage, or cure any medical disease, condition or other physical or mental ailments.
It is a way for folks in states without naturopathic doctor licensure to receive support, as well as supplement, nutritional, and lifestyle recommendations.
Individuals who engage in health coaching are required to maintain a relationship with a primary care physician in their area.
